Lesson Languages: English Description: I'm tired of hearing "I can't do math" or "my parents were bad at math, so I always will be too". It's just not true! Every student, whether a child or an adult, is capable of learning math. Learned helplessness is easily overcome with the right teacher - and I can help! With my experience teaching in an urban school district, my vast amount of patience, and my desire to show every student that they can master the art of math, I am the perfect solution to your, or your child's, problem! In high school, I hated math, so I can definitely sympathize with the math-haters out there. I saw no need for it (I wanted to study history), and found it boring. As an adult, I see that I had the wrong teachers. Learning math is not just about learning the specific topic being taught, but gathering an undeniably useful skill set (problem solving, ability to analyze data, etc.) that is necessary in EVERY field of work. I have tutored many students, all successfully. If you are struggling - please let me help!
