EXPERT MATH TUTOR
I work with Middle-School, High-School and College students in three settings: support with current math coursework, enrichment outside of the classroom, and standardized test preparation. I specialize in working with gifted students who are dissatisfied with traditional classroom methods but will benefit from a personalized approach. Private tutoring can address the all-too-common situation of a bright student who is bored and tuning out the "busywork" of math classes rather than engaging with challenging, interesting material. For the sharp student who is struggling in a math class or facing a standardized test, it is often a simple re-framing of a notion (be it a mathematical concept or a test-taking strategy) that will make the idea click into place. This is where a personalized approach makes the difference.

QUALIFICATIONS: 10+ years tutoring and classroom teaching experience with students with a wide range of abilities. I received my B.A. in Mathematics at age 16 and my M.S. in Mathematics at age 18. I have taught in middle school, high school, community college and University settings, but what I enjoy most is working one-on-one with students. In addition to tutoring professionally, I am currently serving as the Director of a summer program for gifted high school students.
