Thank you for using moretutors.com; moretutors.com is a community driven tutoring services directory. Tutors can freely advertise their services here and students can freely search for tutors as well as express their opinion regarding quality of services they have obtained from a specific tutor. That's basically it, if you are interested in legal stuff you may want to read terms of use.

How to search for tutors?
There is a bunch of select boxes on the home page that allow you to pick a search criteria. State, City/Town, Discipline Category and Discipline are mandatory, others are optional. If there are tutors in the database matching your search criteria they will be displayed on the search result page along with short descriptions, if you are interested in a particular tutor you can click on tutor's name to view tutor details page that contains additional information provided by tutor. It may be pricing, working area, disciplines, detailed description, etc. At any moment you can return to a search result page or home page using navigation bar on top of the page.

Hint: Don't use browser back button with moretutors.com use the navigation bar instead. Some site functionality relies on the navigation bar links.

Here is a short description of search options:

State - well... a State

City/Town - place where you expect to find a tutor (depends on State selection)

Discipline Category - Primary School, High School, College and University, etc.

Discipline - discipline/subject you are searching tutor for (depends on Discipline Category selection)

Lesson Type - allows specifying a particular lesson type: in person, group, online, e-mail. By default, the search returns tutors providing any lesson type from selected city/town. If the online or e-mail lesson type is selected a work area is ignored

Tutor Type - allows selection between private tutors and tutoring companies if you have a specific preference. By default all possible options returned in search result

Lesson Language - a language that will be used during the lesson don't confuse it with foreign language lessons. Say you are looking for a Math tutor and you need a tutor who can conduct a lesson in Spanish language, this is the place to specify Spanish.

Sort by - specifies the order in which results will be presented: by name in alphabetical order, by tutor rating (highest to lowest) unrated tutors sorted in alphabetical order after all rated tutors, by price (lowest to highest) tutors with no price specified sorted in alphabetical order after all tutors with specified price. Sorting by price only works if lesson type is selected.

Hint: If you don't see your City/Town in the selection list try places that are close to you, there is a chance that you might find a tutor there.

Hint: If you don't see the exact discipline/subject try something close, there is a chance that you might find a tutor there. For example if you are looking for a High School Geometry tutor try High School Math tutor. Geometry is a subset of Math so there is a good chance that math tutor will be willing to help you with geometry.

How to register your tutoring services in moretutors.com database?
Just click the Register your service link and you will be guided through the sequence of steps creating your profile. Registration is absolutely free. As soon as you successfully finish registration wizard your profile will be searchable in moretutors.com database. You may change your profile any time using the Edit your profile link.
